Automobile crashes are the leading cause of death for people from 15 to 20 years old in Oregon. Each year more than 300 Oregon teenagers are involved in fatal or injury crashes. Nationally, over 30,000 Americans die in car crashes each year.
No one wants to be part of those statistics. The ODOT-approved driver education program taught by the Pacific Driver Education driving school helps drivers avoid crashes as they learn a specific set of low-risk driving skills and habits.

This is an interactive adult-oriented driver education course which includes eight engaging small-group classroom hours, six hours of one-on-one in-car instruction, and a DMV approved driving exam. This class covers many of the skills you will need to become a safe driver from basic vehicle control to space management for complex situations. Please keep in mind that taking this course does not guarantee success on your DMV Road Test. You may need additional lessons or a great deal of home practice to pass your road test. It will be best to discuss this with your instructor if you are not sure about your readiness for the test.
